I got my butt beat every dang day.

He was the fastest human on two feet I’ve ever seen. 

I didn’t know that badminton is Vietnam’s 3rd most popular sport!

Plus, this wasn’t “high net” backyard badminton. 

This was low net, super fast badminton. 

And Pham destroyed me every. single. day. 

Pham was so much faster and better at badminton than all the other kids, nobody wanted to play with him. 

Look, it’s hard for a teenager to deal with “ego emotions”. 

It's even harder when you’re taking a shuttlecock to the face regularly. 

To make a long story short…

I wish I were writing today to tell you how I rose up. 

How I became the Rocky of badminton. 

How I destroyed Pham like Rocky KO’d Ivan Drago after 15 rounds in Rocky 4. 

But it never happened. 

6 months, more shuttlecocks to the face, stomach and groin than I can count. 

Yet, I never beat Pham. 

Not even ONCE! 

But you know what did happen?

One week, Pham was sick. 

So, I played another dude. 

Do you know what happened next?

I cleaned his clock. 

It wasn’t even close. 

Then I played another…

Wiped the floor with them. 

Kid after kid, I whooped ‘em. 

I went from knowing nothing about badminton to being the 2nd best in months. 

Thank you for kicking my ass, Pham. 

Not only did he teach me how to play badminton. 

Pham taught me one of the most valuable lessons in my life. 

Set your ego aside. 

Play with the best. 

Getting your rear handed to you sharpens your focus and accelerates learning faster than reading 1000 books…watching 1000 videos…or writing 1000 affirmations. 

I’m not saying not to read. 

…or ban yourself from watching YouTube. 

But if you want to get so good at making money, you don’t even NEED money. 

If you want to become financially indestructible. 

And you want to do it lightning fast compared to reading, video-watching and WAITING for an opportunity. 

Get in the game. 

Set your ego aside. 

Play with people who are better than you by a LOT! 

Expect to get your rear handed to you. 

But…

Get the support of people doing the same thing who can help lift you up. 

If you already have that…

Respect. 

You will hit your financial goals, independence and security far faster than 95% of the population. 

If you don’t have that…

I’ve built it.

Compared to the Phams in the group…They feel like they’re getting their asses kicked.

If they don’t go crying home to momma the first time they skin a knee or take a “shuttlecock” to the face…

They learn fast. 

Really fast. 

Next thing you know, they’re doing deals. 

They may not be as “good” or “fast” as the Phams in the Dough-Jo, but they become better at creating money from thin air than 95% of the world. 

You could take everything away from a Ronin…

Even strip them of their contacts and reputation…

If he/she could get to a public library with internet access…

They can start producing income IMMEDIATELY with tools that are available for free. 

They didn’t get that good by reading a book. 

They got there by getting experience.
